Our project

The SDG Walk is a pioneering project of the  Swiss CSO Platform Agenda 2030 and the Association Switzerland-UNO. The city walk uses various stations to anchor the SDGs in everyday life in Bern. While walking through the city centre, you can get to know places and exciting people who are working for sustainability with pioneering spirit and energy: against food waste, for fair trade or discrimination-free societies.

Background
Environmental disasters are increasing, wars are destabilising the world and the gap between rich and poor is widening. To combat such challenges, the UN member states agreed on the ambitious 17 goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development - the SDGs - which Switzerland has also committed to implementing.
However, many of the goals remain too abstract. Although time is pressing and a collective effort is needed to achieve the goals, a large part of the Swiss population has never heard of the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda.

Our partners

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the City of Bern, the Reformed Churches Bern-Jura-Solothurn, the Wyss Academy for Nature, the Swiss Red Cross, the Canton of Bern, the Burgergemeinde Bern and the UsitawiNetwork Club Bern Zytglogge for their financial support.
